Overview
Adcutech Limited was founded in 1983 and was bought by Georgina Colman and Stuart Climance in 2007, when their turnover was £329,000 per annum. The company specialises in manufacturing high quality precision components for a number of leading UK companies, including Medical, Defence, Aerospace and Automotive and they have recently developed a product specifically for the Police and Prison Service.
They believe in building working partnerships with their clients to achieve the most cost-effective solution with the highest standard of quality. With continued investment in new equipment, engineering expertise and design & manufacturing capabilities, they are able to offer a complete service from product design, prototyping, through to small batch and volume production and finishing.
Employing ten staff, the Company now has an annual turnover of approximately £650,000.
Georgina Colman, Joint Managing Director said, “We worked with an antiquated system of spreadsheets, Word documents and manual entries, which resulted in data being duplicated and was incredibly time-consuming until 2010, when we decided we needed a better system for managing the business.”
Selection Process
Georgina continued, “We did some groundwork, looked at three possible systems and had a demonstration of each. When we saw Fitfactory's , we knew it was the right one for us. It was user-friendly and would integrate with our current system and processes.”
Implementing the System
“Installation and training went well and the ongoing help and support are excellent. They respond rapidly to any queries or issues, usually remotely, which makes for minimum downtime in our production.”
Impact on Business
Georgina concluded, “Implementing the system has made a world of difference. There is a huge reduction in duplication and accessing data from a central location has made us more aware of all aspects of the business. The traceability element and standardised documentation enable us to offer a complete and professional service to our customers.”
