Overview
Managing Director, Andrew Warren acquired Yale Systems Ltd in 2008, to join the company he had already, which was Qualtech Engineering Ltd. Having merged these two companies, he re-named it UK Precision Ltd, but they still work out of the two original sites in Chard and Exeter.
They specialise in the supply of high quality machined components, using the latest CNC technology. They have experience of working with many sectors, including Hydraulics, General Engineering, Marine and Defence, but their prime areas are Medical and Motorsport.
From simple washers to medical implant technology and working in a wide variety of materials, they pride themselves on offering the ultimate professional support service, to help develop the best component solution for their customers’ needs.
Employing eighteen staff, they have a current annual turnover of £1.4m and are forecasting a 10-15% increase in 2015.
Selection Process
Qualtech Engineering Ltd had been working with a manual system, but with the acquisition of Yale Systems Ltd, which already had Fitfactory’s system in place, Andrew could immediately see the benefits and he decided to install the system in Qualtech as well.
Impact on Business
Andrew said, “‘I am really pleased with Fitfactory’s system and it is excellent to have it across both businesses. It has sped up traceability and linking of data. It has streamlined running the businesses and basically made life so much easier. I am delighted with it.”
